And Freelancer has always been an open profession which does not fall under any restrictions. Lets say, if you are a good Designer who can work good in Photoshop (designing), and looking for someone to hire you for a small/time limited project but for Good amount of money. This kind of jobs are known as freelance, and you in this care are to be called as a Freelancer.
